In order to TRUST us with your dog, you have to BELIEVE that we know our business.
My name is Kim Geidel. My husband,Wayne works with me and my daughter, Lindsay has her OWN CAT grooming Salon. She used to work here. She got her certifications to be a Master dog groomer but decided that her heart was with cats. So she is now a dual-certified master DOG & CAT groomer. Her salon is called Cattitude Salon & S'Paw
724-758-PURR.
My heart has always been with dogs. Since I was a child, I have been involved with dogs, pet shops, veterinarians, dog walking, dog showing, amateur pet contests, dog books, and anything and everything having to do with dogs. My sister and I would play a game where we had to guess which plastic replica breed of dog we pulled out of a home-made box while blind-folded. So I would say I know a lot about dogs.

I was trained at a Petco....I'm not bragging about that! However my teacher was OUTSTANDING. She now owns The Cashmere School of Pet Grooming in FL. She taught much more than the basics required to groom at Petco. The one thing I valued from my time at Petco was this....Take anything and everything that comes thru your door...vicious, matted, horrible dogs....these became my specialty. I learned how they react and how to get them groomed when no one else would touch them. At the same time, my teacher was showing me things that I never knew existed....the world of professional grooming, the type of things you see on TV and at dogs shows. I learned that dog hair is much more than Lassie, Benji and Eddie. I focused on my education even more and now I regularly attend seminars, conventions and workshops to better my skills and knowledge of dog grooming. Every year, there are HUGE shows...Intergroom in New Jersey, Groom Expo in Hershey, PA, Petquest in Kentucky, the ALL-American show in Chicago and many more. These are large gatherings of grooming professionals who trade information, learn about new inventions & products and most of all they compete for prize money to see who has the best grooming skills. So my education will never cease.
My husband Wayne is such a changed man. He used to think that dogs should be OUTSIDE & they had to have a purpose...such as being a watchdog, a seeing-eye dog or a police dog. He has mellowed over the years and since he got his OWN dog, he now views dogs as little people in fur suits. I'm joking, obviously, but he has done a complete turnaround. He sees the value in owning pets for companionship and unselfish love. His love for dogs has made him a better person, a true gentle man. Wayne now helps me and we work together as a team to bathe, groom and finish our dog clients in quicker time. Thus the amount of stress on the dog is minimal. He shows just as much love and patience as I do...and I thought that NO ONE had more patience with bad dogs than me. He also is focused on his education to better serve the needs of our 4 legged clientele.
